“From Nile to Han” a solo exhibition by Dina Fahmy El Rouby, explores the dialogue between Egypt and Korea through two rivers that have shaped the identity, memory and imagination of their people.

The Nile and the Han are more than geographical landmarks. They are lifelines of their civilizations, sources of life, spirituality, storytelling and connection. Rivers carry memory. They move, connect and nurture, much like art itself, which travels beyond language, geography and time.

Through symbolism, Arabic calligraphy, Egyptian iconography and contemporary visual narratives, the exhibition creates a bridge between two cultures that may appear geographically distant, yet share a profound respect for heritage, identity and continuity.

At its heart lies the belief that art is a universal language that connects us all, transcending borders, time and differences. Through this exhibition, I aim to honor the shared humanity that binds Egyptian and Korean cultures together.
